Richard Kevin Orr, 61, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2024. He was born in Creston, IA on February 17, 1963, to James Orr and Sharon Bubb.
Rich is survived by his children Kerry and Tiffany Orr, his mother Sharon Bubb, brothers Jim and Russell Orr, sisters Terri Guerrero, Pamela Montez, Kelly Hazlewood, Kimberly Dupuy, Tawna Orr-Kinzie and Tonika Tame along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father James Orr Sr, stepmother Hazel Orr, grandparents Arlene and Russell Orr Sr, grandparents Lorraine and Samuel Milligan.
Rich joined the United States Air Force after graduating high school and served his entire career in Communications until being honorably discharged on 9/30/2002. During his time in active duty, Rich received multiple awards and accolades. After retiring from the Air Force, Rich returned and continued his service to the Air Force as a civilian for 20+ years. Family and friends want to thank him for his service and dedication to our country.
Rich was a devoted father and continuously praised his daughters in every aspect. He was somewhat of a prankster and loved a good laugh. Rich had the kindest sweetest heart which reflected in all that he did. He learned to play the guitar, starred in a few plays, and sang in the choir. He loved watching the Houston Texans and Roughnecks football as well as auto racing. He traveled to many different countries all over the world and just loved life.
A celebration of life service is scheduled at 11am on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Davis Funeral Home at 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. There will be a live-stream service which can be accessed below on the day of the service.
