Robert Gregory Greg Gunny, 51, of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 15, 2013, as a result of complications of a sudden illness. He was an amazing and wonderful person who will be missed by his many friends and family. He was born in Whittier, Calif., and raised in Las Vegas. He graduated from Clark High School in 1979 and attended the University of Utah. He was an avid sportsman who loved the outdoors and especially fishing. His fishing expeditions and adventures throughout the country were legendary and he especially loved deep sea fishing and fishing in Alaska. He was beloved by all that knew him for his adventurous free spirit, generosity and exuberant personality considered the fun uncle by his nieces and nephews. He was also a youth basketball coach who make a tremendous impact and influence in the lives of many ball players. He is survived by his father and mother, Robert and Betty Gunny of Pahrump brother and sisterinlaw, Gary and Sheri Gunny of Las Vegas brother and sisterinlaw, Gerald and Danielle Gunny nieces, Dallas and Shelby and nephews, Austin, Brandon, Logan and Colton. Visitation will be noon1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, with services following, both at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.
