Sean Mersch

Our dear boy, Sean Patrick Mersch, 20, of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 22, 2013. As his smile suggests, he was a funloving, happy young man with a big heart. He went to Saint Josephs Elementary School, Bishop Gorman High School, and graduated from high school at Liahona Academy in Virgin, Utah in October 2010. Sean loved sports, especially baseball, and was looking forward to a career in sports media. Sean is survived by his parents, James and Julie Mersch his sister, Gretchen 19 brothers, Cullen 17 and Jonathan 15 grandparents, Joanne Appleby, Lee and Juanita Mersch and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Viewing will be 58 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, with an open opportunity for remembrances 89 p.m., at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas. Seans light burned bright and shone far. We will miss him dearly.
