Sharon Abbott

Sharon Elaine Abbott passed away on August 14, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was 70 years old.
Sharon was born on March 27, 1947 in Montgomery Alabama where she spent her formative years. In 1964 she decided to head west and met the love of her life, Ernest Abbott. She married Ernest in 1968 and they made their life in California with their two children, Ernest Jr. and Teri. After retirement, she and her husband decided to move to Las Vegas where they lived many happy years together.
Sharon was the embodiment of strength, passion, love and generosity with her family and friends. A trait that lent well to her professional career as a real estate agent. At one time, she was the president of the California Association of Realtors, Sharon was involved with the California Association of Realtors for 25 years, and was always heavily involved with the chamber of commerce in the cities that she lived. Sharon was also a proud volunteer fireman in Orange County California.
Sharon was an avid reader and was rarely seen without a book in her had. She also enjoyed a multitude of arts and crafts which she at times sold, gifted or simply kept to enjoy. She filled our hearts with cherished memories and she will never be forgotten. Those who knew her and loved her know that this is not goodbye, simply until next time.
Sharon is survived by her husband Ernest Abbott, her son and daughter in law, Ernest Jr and Regina Abbott; her daughter and son in law Teri and Jarrod Oldridge; her siblings, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Rainbow Chapel, located at 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd Las Vegas NV 89146. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 9:20 AM, Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 6200 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City NV 89005, with Reverend Mary Bredlau officiating, with burial to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sharon's life.
