We are sad to announce that Sylvia Careen Collins of Las Vegas, NV passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, age 78.

Sylvia was born in November 1942. Sylvia grew up in White Sulphur Springs, WV, and attended Marshall University.

Sylvia moved out to Las Vegas, NV in the early 70’s.

She worked at Desert Springs Hospital as an Insurance Verifier for over 8 years. Afterwards, she worked at The Las Vegas Hilton as a Pit Book Keeper for over 20 years, retiring in 2008.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her brother Robert A. Hamood.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Marc and Stacy, sister Patti McCrory, brother Robert B. Hamood, grandsons; McGwire, Morrison, Ethan, and Madden, and many nieces and nephews.

Sylvia loved to read, travel, watch movies, and spend time with her family. Sylvia will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed for her love, strength, and many sacrifices she made for her family.
