Theron Evan Drewniak
August 4, 1928 – November 20, 2024
Theron “Tim” Drewniak, a beloved father and friend, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 96. Born on August 4, 1928, in Ontario, Oregon, to parents Loren and Hazel Gildea, Tim’s journey through life was nothing short of extraordinary. His early school years were spent in the small town of Nyssa, Oregon, before moving to Boise, Idaho, where he attended Boise High School. In 1946, he was lovingly adopted by Theodore F. Drewniak. Tim married his first love, Delores Thomas, in 1948, and later married June Beal in 1993.
Tim proudly served his country by joining the Air Force in 1951 during the Korean War, dedicating two years to active duty. He continued his service with unwavering dedication and honor in the Idaho Air National Guard until his retirement in 1978.
A man of many passions, Tim found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life: golfing, bowling, and casting his fishing line into the tranquil waters of Lake Cascade, Idaho. However, it was playing pool that truly captured his heart. In 1963, Tim’s dream came to life as he opened Tim’s Billiards, a snack bar and poolroom in Boise, Idaho, that quickly became a cherished local treasure.
Whether he was savoring summers fishing in Cascade, Idaho, or relishing winters playing pool in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tim was a radiant beacon of light, creating countless cherished memories with his family and friends.
Tim is survived by his loving daughter, Kim Anderson, and her devoted husband, Roger Anderson, as well as June’s daughter, Jeannie Turner. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Tim was preceded in death by his wife, June Drewniak, with whom he shared many wonderful years.
Tim’s legacy lives on through his family and friends. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to a charity of your choice in Tim’s memory.
