Wendell R. Sebresos, our happy, charismatic, confident, and loving husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away on July 26, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Wendell was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Violetta Lopez and Bertram Sebresos on March 22, 1950, where his grandmother, Laurencia, helped raise him with siblings Bertram, Cathleen, Tim, Jason, Marilyn, and Lolita.
In 1968, Wendell graduated from Kailua High School. He attended Snow College in Ephraim, UT, later graduating from BYU with a Physical Education bachelors degree in 1975. From BYU ROTC he was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Major in the artillery of the 7th infantry division. In Wendell’s post-military career, he excelled as an influential sales leader and mentor for Procter & Gamble and Alcon Surgical in northern California and Toyota West and Towbin Dodge in Las Vegas, Nevada. His passions for the nature and culture of Hawaii, fishing, crabbing, football, boxing, drawing and painting, keeping fish, singing karaoke, and especially for family and friends have woven a legacy as a beloved mentor and hero to many, many people along the way.
Wendell was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Schoen Sebresos, and a progeny of 10 children and 35 grandchildren who all love him and will miss him so much. He did it his way, leaving a final Mahalo & Aloha to his family and friends.
“Wendell, you made me a better person.”
