[Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding, almost as though you sense a disquieting metamorphosis.]
William Gordon II left this mortal realm to check in at the Haunted Mansion on December 23rd.
He joins K9s Houdini and D.O.G in fulfilling a dream to become the 1000th happy haunt.
He was 54.
He leaves behind families in California and Nevada.
And ice cream. And cake. And pizza. All the pizza.
Born in Glens Falls NY, Will was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area (San Bruno and Belmont, CA) where he lived with his mother until they relocated to Las Vegas.
A man who lived one hundred lives, Will was a police cadet, magician, musician, special effects artist, bouncer, bartender, cypherpunk, and technologist. (Amongst other things)
He was a lifetime member of the Masons of California, Phoenix Lodge #144 (Formerly the Paul Revere Lodge #462), where he proudly achieved the title of Master Mason. He also became a member of the Masons of Nevada, Vegas Lodge #32. He has held the positions of Junior Deacon, Marshal, and Senior Deacon.
Will loved his friends as family, and fiercely so.
A completely unselfish man, there was nothing he wouldn’t do to assist or make someone smile.
A frequent world traveler, he took pride in experiencing the beautiful, weird, and unknown.
Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Will's life in their own way.
Raising a glass of their favorite drink in his memory would be quite appropriate.
Know that Will would prefer memories to be inappropriate.
[Now, don’t close your eyes and don’t try to hide,
For a silly spook may sit by your side.
Shrouded in a daft disguise, they pretend to terrorize.
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize!]
