Petty Officer Second Class William D. Liddle, a former WWII Navy veteran who served as an Aircraft Electrician, passed away on August 5, 2011 at his home. He was born on March 9, 1927 in Forestport, New York, the son of Fredrick and Lena Isley Liddle. He was both a private pilot and an instructor. He moved to Las Vegas in 1964 where he worked in sales at various department stores. Bill was active at All Saints Episcopal Church and served as a member of the vestry, a lay reader, and an usher for many years.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, Richard, and a grandson, Bryce. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 34 years, Patricia Whitlock Liddle, sons William F. Liddle wife Melody, James Liddle, and Christopher Liddle, his grandchildren Alyssa and Zackery Liddle, and a stepson and stepdaughter, Stephan Whitlock and Marlene Whitlock. When Bill passed awat, his wife Pat and youngest son Chris were by his bedside. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on September 17, 2011 at All Saints Episcopal Church located at 4201 W. Washington Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada at 1:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinsons Research.
