Yvonne Bonner

Yvonne Denyce Bonner was born to the late Ms. Minnie Hill and Bundy Bonner on November 10, 1961. She was a phenomenal woman with the spirit of a warrior, and her final battle occurred on Sunday, August 8, 2021.

She was born in Compton, California into a family of seven including herself, her mother, her 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Until December 10, 1980 in Dominguez Hills Hospital Compton CA, when her first and only born child Duane Kennon Jr. became a part of her world. She was a quiet reserved woman at most times, but was not afraid to tell it like it was and stuck by those she loved unconditionally.

Yvonne enjoyed building and drag racing cars at a young age and took an interest in doing hair and nails. While perusing her dreams to open her own salon she completed her education at Compton College and attended the beauty school Paige in Lancaster, California, all while working as a line cook at Convalescent Hospital. Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys, she enjoyed a good Pepsi and loved the color green. She was a strong woman that knew what it took to raise a man and through everything she endured she always kept a smile on her face.

Yvonne leaves behind a legacy of strong family members to cherish her memories, her brothers Kenneth (K.B.) Brown, Gregory Bonner, and William (wee) Price. Her sisters Janice Hill, Gewn France and her many nieces and nephews. Her child Duane Kennon Jr and her grandchildren Neshay Kennon, Duane Kennon, Stefan Moorman, Vonnay Kennon, Elijah Kennon, Steven Kennon, Melodee Lang, Davion Kennon, and D'Anna Kennon. Her great grandchildren Amir Reed, Kai Moorman, Xailah Moorman, Morgan Kennon, and Izellus Kennon.
